Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)

Brazilian jiu-jitsu can be best described as, getting an opponent to the ground to neutralize possible strength or size advantages. Once on the ground, physical strength can be offset or enhanced through proper grappling techniques. The ground fighting techniques include the use of submission holds involving joint-locks and chokeholds.

Osman Jiu-jitsu/BJJ is a technical sport that provides individuals with training in the art of jiu-jitsu where there is something new to learn every time. Not everyone can be perfect in all aspects of BJJ even after spending years in training, therefore, there is always something productive to learn each time you train.

Osman Jiu-jitsu/BJJ is also a self-defence style which can work in a street fight when faced withone attacker. The techniques you learn in Osman Jiu-jitsu/BJJ are highly effective for taking down a single opponent, controlling them, and convincing them to give up through submission and chokeholds.

To perfect the art of jiu jitsu as much as possible, an emphasis is placed on competition. With over 600 matches in the 18 years that Professor Osman has been training,he has made himself understand the best options to give his students in order for them to be successful on the mats.

Beginning in September 2022, Dragon Taekwondo Academy – Milton will be the new home for Osman Jiu-jitsu. Individuals 13 years old and up are encouraged to come out and try the different programs. These include Recreational fighter, or Pro fighter. Either in no Gi grappling, jiu jitsu or MMA.
