Dragon Taekwondo Academy – Oakville is located at 467 Speers Rd Units 5-8, and is a massive 11000 square feet facility housing 2 Olympic size rings, weight room, change room with lockers and much more. Our qualified Instructors will work with you and your ability to ensure that you receive the best guidance and support to be the best version of yourself that you can be and to reach your goals.

Taekwondo literally means ‘foot’ ,’hand’, ‘way or art’ (“The art or way of kicking and punching”) and was originally designed for the Korean armed forces. It has evolved into a well-rounded martial art offering something for almost everyone – realistic self-defence, fitness, stress relief, building of self confidence, social elements and much more!

Not necessarily, in fact a lot of people actually join Taekwondo to get fit! In parts, fitness does help but the Instructor know that everyone is different and always try to ensure students push themselves where they can in attempt to attain higher and better personal levels and goals.

We have students as young as 3yrs old and no upper age limit training with us!

We are affiliated and teach the World Taekwondo (WT) style Taekwondo.

Yes, all the Instructors are certified through the Kukkiwon in South Korea, which is the Headquarters for WT Taekwondo.

Martial arts have many benefits.  It will help with balance, flexibility, confidence, weight loss, increase in strength, memory improvement, and stress relief, just to name a few.

We currently run classes 6 days a week. Like any physical activity students are recommended to attend at least 2-3 times a week to see a benefit and consistent progression.

Our team of qualified instructors, assistant instructors, and leadership team will instruct, guide, and motivate the students. Each class is lead by a Kukkiwon certified Master.

You will improve basic physical skills such as coordination, balance, flexibility, agility, endurance, kinetic awareness, and more. Students will also learn martial arts skills of striking, kicking, blocking, foot work, joint manipulation, weapons, self defense, and much more.

Most of the teen and adult students that start Taekwondo and Martial Arts with us have no experience in martial arts so you will fit right in. The class is designed to take an absolute beginner and get them ready for the more advanced classes as they progress in skills which eventually lead to attaining their Black Belt.
